StudioHour is…

“StudioHour is a way for us to come together and put the Think / Make mindset into practice with our peers. I wanted to create a space for us to focus on what is possible, whether that be through conversation, making or action.”

- Georgia

“StudioHour is a conversation through exhibitions, workshops and gatherings. It is a space where creatives can come together, share stories, experiences and learn from each other. We want to help businesses and independent creatives to tell their stories. All the while spreading the joy of design!”

- Nikki

Socials & Meet Ups

StudioHour Socials & Meet Ups are curated experiences that promote learning different perspectives across creative fields. Encouraging people to get to know one another beyond “hello” to open opportunities of collaboration.

Meet Up & Make Sessions

Come join us for these intimate Meet Up & Make sessions where we are bringing together creatives to share and experience how different design disciplines problem solve and create! Each evening is a mini sprint down a different design method facilitated by StudioHour or a guest facilitator, all set in a casual dinner party setting with light dinner, drinks and materials provided.

Group sizes vary from method and location.

“Let that inner design geek shine!”

Past Exhibitions

Journeys To Home Exhibit:

It’s not just four walls and a roof, but the relationship to People, Places, and Things that matter.

Homeless Connect Toronto’s exhibition designed by StudioHour toured Toronto Public Library sites for 12 month to help share the stories of people impacted by homelessness.

Journeys to Home was a catalogue of an 18 month ethnographic and service design project led by Homeless Connect Toronto, an organization that works directly with people experiencing and who are at-risk of homelessness in the City of Toronto. The Exhibit provided their research findings a narrative to help share with the public, and provide a glimpse into people’s experiences as they navigate the complex housing system, and finding the relationships that matter in someone’s journey regardless of their form of shelter.
